Double Double Toil and Trouble + Giveaway

Double double toil and trouble how much trouble can you get into at Drunk Shakespeare?

After hearing my friends rave about Drunk Shakespeare I was super pumped to go. I’ve heard so many great things about the show and I was not disappointed! From the first moment I walked into the theater it was as if the show had started. Everyone was already in character; making me laugh way before the show “actually started.” The show is different from most with its mix of comedy and theater, ushers being actors etc. They performed Macbeth and managed to incorporate pop culture references as well as including audience members.

The way the show works, only one cast member gets drunk per performance. Super drunk. Hence the name Drunk Shakespeare. At this particular performance of Macbeth, Caitlin who played a witch, lady Macbeth …was the lucky drinker. She was also the only woman in the cast that night! Caitlin gave an amazing monologue while fully intoxicated and it was astonishing to see knowing she was drunk. The show has many interesting twists and turns, both improve and scripted, which makes Shakespeare come alive in unexpected and fascinating ways.

Drunk Shakespeare is so poetically different from most other shows out there and it’s definitely worth checking out. If you are looking for a show that is off the beaten bath, has great humor and great acting, then Drunk Shakespeare is for you.
